The North Caspian Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the study of the North Caspian — Lower Volga region, a hotspot for ethnolinguistic diversity at the crossroads of Central Asia and Eastern Europe which remains largely overlooked and understudied. It is intended as a multilingual platform to enable communication and collaboration between researchers, journalists and activists from the region or working on it. By extension, we are also interested in discussions relevant to all of Central Asia as well as all of the indigenous communities and other ethnic minorities currently living under Russian control.
